Dan Beck: Impressionist Figurative Oils and Pastels
There is a timeless dignity to the beauty of Dan Beck’s figural paintings. The warmth of Beck’s palette and how he uses that to develop the painting brings us to the very core of his work. Dan’s beautifully figurative renderings are executed in both oil and pastel creating an intimate look at face and body.
Beck is also known for serene landscapes depicting places such as Venice, Italy, harbor and quiet lakeshore settings. His style reflects a soft European impressionist approach. Dan will be a featured artist in the November 2008 issue of “Southwest Art Magazine.” The article will highlight a few of Dan’s best works and he will discuss his life as an artist and teacher.
